Why use the native integration with Outlook
The synchronization of Sigilium with Outlook allows for the automatic deployment of new signatures to the company’s employees. It also enables automatic updates.
With Microsoft 365, the setup is seamless for users. No action is required on their part during installation. Every change to signatures is automatically reflected in Gmail.
Without Microsoft 365, the application synchronizes signatures in Outlook on the workstations. You can also have signatures synchronized on webmail and on iPhone / iPad.
Advantages:
no actions to wait for from employees
automatic synchronization
a uniform brand image
messages and information always up to date

Integration with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, what is the difference?
The two synchronizations are different and completely separate and technically distinct. They do not have the same role.
Native integration with Microsoft 365 allows deploying email signatures in Outlook. It can be activated at any time, for a user scope of your choice. This is defined at the scope level from your Microsoft 365 tenant.
Native integration with Entra ID (e.g., Azure AD) allows reading directory information (user groups, last names, first names, emails, etc.) and displaying this information in the email signatures of employees. A change in the directory is therefore reported automatically. The creation and deletion of users as well.
Learn more.
Here are two concrete examples to illustrate the difference and the interest of independent synchronizations.
Concrete example 1:
You can add or import a file of users and activate the synchronization with Microsoft 365, to deploy email signatures, without activating the sync with the Entra ID directory.
Concrete example 2:
You can activate the sync with Entra ID, and retrieve users on your Sigilium account, without effectively deploying the email signatures in Outlook. This allows waiting for the right moment to deploy them.
